The Puricom ZIP (which stands for Zero Installation Purifier) is a revolutionary new 2014 technology providing reverse osmosis quality filtration without any installation whatsoever. It makes the perfect choice for singles people, students or small families, people who regularly travel and who are currently renting their property and cannot have a system installed on tap.
The unit is incredibly easy to use and assemble. Simply take it out the box, plug it in and fill the supply pitcher. Place it back into the ZIP purifier and turn the dial, that’s it! Within minutes you will have reverse osmosis quality water at your fingertips!
The ZIP system comes with an intuitive single dial for all functions plus an indicator light for instant system status, including an indicator light to let you know when the filters need changing..
The system can provide up to 280 litres per day and holds 2 litres of purified water when full. The beauty of the ZIP portable reverse osmosis system is that it produces zero waste. The system produces a 50% recovery rate, which means that for 2 litres of water, you will get 1 litre of purified water and 1 litre of concentrate (this means the not purified water). However, because the unit uses a patented recirculation system and no connection to the drain, the system produces zero waste, but instead, the remaining concentrate water is stored and can be used for washing or other non-drinking uses.
When empty you fill the supply pitcher with 4 litres of water and after around 10-12 minutes you will have 2 litres purified and 2 litres remaining as concentrated water which can then be reused for other non-drinking purposes (cleaning, gardening etc.). During this purification cycle the power consumption is only 24 W which means it costs half the amount of powering a normal 50 Watt light-bulb for 10 minutes! The system uses very little power at only 24 Watts!

Usage, Maintenance & Filter Changes
The system is designed with ease and practicality in mind. The unit has a very simple user interface. Water comes with the turn of a dial and there is no complicated user manual needed. The system is fully portable and just needs to be plugged into a power supply. It does not need to be installed into household plumbing. Any water source gives you easy access to fresh and healthy RO pure water at any time.
Changing the filters is really easy. They come off and go back on with a simple twist function and the system indicator light will let you know exactly when to change the filters so you need not worry about when the filter changes are required. The Blue and Orange LED light interface provide colour coded management of the filter condition. No special tools are required to change the filters.
The colour coded LED instantly shows when the filtration has completed. The intelligent, automatic, power-saving motor design, gives instant supply of filtered water, and automatically shuts off when filtration is complete.
