‘Nothing to fear, nothing to hide’ earns Gloucester MP comparisons with Goebbels

When Richard Graham, Conservative MP for Gloucester stood up to speak in the debate about the draft Investigatory Powers Bill he probably didn’t expect to be compared to Josef Goebbels.

Mr Graham ended his speech approving of the bill with the phrase ‘If you have nothing to hide; you have nothing to fear.’

It’s a fairly standard sentiment often expressed in the debate about where to draw the line between privacy and security.
