A police manhunt has been launched after drama struck a Pro-Brexit protest on a bridge over a busy Exeter city centre road.
Alison Sheridan, who describes herself as a ‘passionate Brexiteer’, claims her fellow campaigner Frankie Rufolo was “grabbed around his waist” in attempt to throw him from a footbridge over Western Way.
An ensuing argument also involved verbal threats.
Police are now hunting for the man said to be responsible, who was wearing an “EU flag pin”, dark clothing and a hat.
Alison is UKIP chair for Exeter and a campaigner for Leave Means Leave. News of the incident has been shared by Far Right television personality Katie Hopkins.
