Former detective and Celebrity Big Brother contestant to dish dirt on police failings in child sex abuse case

Maggie Oliver is working closely with former Met Police Detective John Wedger as mentioned on my interview with John last week Listen here

A former detective and Celebrity Big Brother contestant is vowing to dish the dirt on police failings in the Rochdale child sex abuse ring case.

Maggie Oliver quit Greater Manchester Police to turn whistleblower after fighting on behalf of abused youngsters.

Now the ex-detective constable, who was played by Lesley Sharp in TV drama Three Girls, said there is far more to emerge than was revealed in last year’s BBC mini-series.

She told the Daily Mirror: “I am going to be talking about what happened, far more than ever came out in the drama. That was a tiny snapshot of what went on.”

In 2015 the British tabloid press published articles saying that Walker had reported Leo Abse, George Thomas and Enoch Powell to the police as suspected paedophiles .[14] He said that “A number of survivors independently gave the name of a particular MP being involved … I don’t believe there was any collusion in their stories.”[15] Walker went on to tell senior clerics that Abse was named by three abuse survivors whom he had counselled when a vicar in Brighton in the 1980s.

15 prominent public figures identified in investigation into historical child abuse

15 prominent public figures identified in investigation into historical child abuse

Link:  ITV

I may need some help in fathoming what the msm is trying to convey in this short report…….

Operation Whistle

15 prominent public figures have been identified

Because of the historic (?) nature of the claims, 10 of them are now dead.

Translation: it’s not a case of being ignored at the time – and it’s all so long ago?

Allegations against 60 suspects in total have been made, and the team are currently working with 45 victims.

Do they mean that 15 out of the 60 are “prominent” – and what do they mean by “prominent”?  Well known public figures? Like MP’s? Or who?

4 arrests have been made with two being charged.

That’s 2 charges out of 60 suspects – right?

A similar investigation in the UK, Operation Yewtree, saw 16 victims allege they suffered abuse at the hands of Jimmy Saville whilst in Jersey.

Why don’t they just state that OPERATION WHISTLE is a JERSEY investigation?

WHY don’t they mention Haute de la Garenne?

p.s imo the  lad at Savile’s left elbow is a dead ringer for Stephen Purdew of Champney’s/Henlow Grange
Met creating team to deal with historical child abuse cases

Met creating team to deal with historical child abuse cases

The Metropolitan Police is creating a team of 90 officers and staff to tackle the increasing workload resulting from allegations of historical child abuse.

The new team will handle 29 separate allegations that previous inquiries were blocked because prominent people were identified as suspects.

It will also deal with work resulting from Justice Lowell Goddard’s child abuse public inquiry.

It will consist of reorganised staff rather than new recruits.

The BBC understands the controversial Operation Midland – which is investigating claims of child abuse by establishment figures – will continue as a “standalone operation” because it is also examining allegations of child killings.

IPCC to oversee a further 12 cases of alleged historical corruption within the Metropolitan Police –

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is to manage a further 12 investigations detailing allegations of corruption in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and one allegation detailing corruption in Essex Police. All relate to child sex offences dating from the 1970s to the 2000s.

The investigations are to be conducted by the MPS Directorate of Professional Standards (DPS) and Essex’s Professional Standards Directorate (PSD) but will be overseen, and have the terms of the investigation set, by the IPCC. The majority of the investigations stem from allegations made by retired MPS officers.

This is in addition to the 17 investigations announced earlier this year. All relate to allegations about:

Nothing to see here! Downing Street is quietly deleting ALL its emails

Nothing to see here! Downing Street is quietly deleting ALL its emails

Downing Street has been quietly deleting all its emails using a ‘Mission IMpossible’-style system that erases all communication more than three months old.

The system means it is very hard for members of the public to find out info using Freedom of Information requests.

The system, instituted ten years ago, but not widely known about, according to the FT, means that ALL emails are deleted unless individual employees choose to save them.

The system was instituted in 2004 – shortly before the Freedom of Information Act came into force in 2005.
